The Basic Idea
Keep the setup simple: check four confirmations before taking a momentum trade.
The goal is to enter when the trendline is above EMA20/VWAP before the breakout, price breaks the trendline with a candle-body close, RSI is above 60, price is above both EMA20 and VWAP, and price is not too far from the reference levels.

Trendline Position & Breakout
Before the breakout, the descending trendline should be above EMA20 and VWAP. Then wait for a candle body to close above the trendline.
A wick crossing the trendline alone is not enough. The trendline must be above EMA20/VWAP before the breakout.
RSI
RSI should be above 60 when checking the setup.
This keeps the entry from being too late in the move.
Price Position
Price must be above both EMA20 and VWAP.
Both levels should support the bullish setup.
Price Distance
Price should not be too far from EMA20 or VWAP.
Avoid entries after a large extended move.
Sample Momentum Setup
The following chart is an illustrative example showing how the trendline, EMA20, VWAP and RSI conditions can align before an entry.
Trendline is above EMA20/VWAP, then price breaks it with a candle-body close.
RSI remains above 60.
Price remains above EMA20 and VWAP.
Nifty < 10 and Sensex < 20.
RSI Confirmation
Keep RSI above 60
Check the setup while RSI is above 60. The purpose is to confirm that bullish momentum is strong enough for the setup.
Confirm 4: Price Distance
Do not enter when price is too far from VWAP or EMA20
Use a simple distance limit to avoid chasing an extended move.
- ✓ Nifty: distance should be < 10 points
- ✓ Sensex: distance should be < 20 points
- ✓ Price should remain reasonably close to EMA20 and VWAP
- ✕ Avoid a large extended candle far above EMA20/VWAP
- ✓ Before breakout, the trendline should remain above EMA20 and VWAP

For Bearish / PE Momentum
For a bearish setup, reverse the price conditions:
Use a bearish trendline breakdown, keep the same distance limits, and apply the RSI condition consistently with the direction of the trade.

Confirm 1: Trendline above EMA20/VWAP + breakout + Confirm 2: RSI > 60 + Confirm 3: Price above EMA20 and VWAP + Confirm 4: Distance < 10 for Nifty / < 20 for Sensex
